The deciding source is the LMArena Text Arena leaderboard, using its Overall rankings table. Each outcome is Yes if the base model named in that outcome holds the top-ranked position at 1:00 PM CT on the final day of October 2026, and No otherwise; only rankings at that time count. If two or more base models are tied for rank 1, these tiebreakers apply in order: higher overall rank in the Text Arena, higher overall score, lowest sum of ranks across all categories, and highest sum of scores across all categories. Early resolution does not apply, and if the leaderboard data is delayed, resolution waits until it is published.
