The deciding value is the average retail price of electricity for all sectors in the US, in cents per kilowatt-hour, published by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) with its Electric Power Monthly report and shown in the EIA Electricity Data Browser, for December 2026. The outcome is Yes if the reported price is above the value specified in the market question and No otherwise. The value becomes final upon publication of the Electric Power Monthly report, typically in the last week of the month two months after December 2026, using the most recent revision available at that time. Early resolution does not apply, and if EIA delays the release, resolution waits until the data is published.
