The outcome is decided by the monthly unemployment rate for Canada for December 2026, as published by Statistics Canada, using the rate stated in the first paragraph of its monthly Labour Force Survey release, typically published at 7:30 AM CT on the first non-holiday Friday of the following month. The outcome is Yes if that rate is above the value specified in the market question and No otherwise. The outcome is determined from that first release when it is published, early resolution does not apply, and if the release is delayed, resolution waits until it is published.
